You all know and love him. His charming smile, his calm demeanor, his uplifting energy. He's the best dog there ever was, and now, he needs your help.

Beastly had a fall a few weeks ago, he seemed to have trouble getting up, we were worried even though he had no indications of pain and took him to see the vet at Cypress Veterinary Hospital. A thousand dollars in tests later told us he likely had a tear in the ligament of his left rear leg, requiring surgery. But the vet was hopeful the meds given would heal the wound and he'd be back on his feet. Though he did improve for a short while, it's become clear he's still struggling to get up and down stairs and tires easily after play. He's not the kind of dog to make a peep if he's in pain, just lumbers on giving love to all the cross his path; it's up to us to make sure he lives as pain-free a life as possible so I'm asking for your help.

The surgery could cost upwards of $5000 and that's just for the more serious tear, he needs to see a specialist to see if he will need a second surgery for the right leg.

... and here's the big one...

Because of his breed (boxer) he's prone to embolisms in his heart or brain. This too could have caused him to lose balance, but in order to get those tests we'd have to take him to another hospital that costs twice as much; the vet warned it could be upwards of 10-30k if we go that route.

I work in an art store. I don't qualify for any assistance if I miss work. I'm just trying to find enough time to put together a demo reel to get into the animation industry, something I studied for the past 2 years exactly because I knew that someday my dog would need help and my bohemian artist lifestyle could not afford to do that. I'm trying to get to a place where I can afford 10-30K for dog repairs, but I'm just not there yet.
