Baylis Court School memorial Garden

Donation protected
My name is Marie-Clair Goswell and I am a teacher at Baylis Court School. I and my colleague, Carol Lamb, along with our key worker pupils wanted a visual reminder of those we have lost in our school community through coronavirus and other illnesses and tragic events. We came up with the idea of creating a memorial garden at the heart of the school, where our community can paint a stone in memory of those they have lost and place it in a beautiful space to be remembered. This space will be a quiet space for people to sit, admire the beauty and smile at the memories they have with those people they have loved. As you can see from the attached pictures, we have our work cut out for us! We are raising money to buy the plants for the area, the equipment to complete our gardening and help us fund the cleaning and maintenance of the pond and area. Any money we do not use or over our target, we will donate to the NHS and our local hospices, to help support those who look after those people in their final hours.
