Battling Stage IV Colon Cancer

Hello! My name is Kelly Hernandez (Witucki). In March 2020, I was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer. My primary tumor is in my colon, and I have a very large secondary tumor on my ovaries. I have been on chemotherapy without any breaks since being diagnosed. When one treatment regimen stops working, we move on to the next one. Unfortunately, I have hit the point where chemo is no longer working for me. In order to continue living, I am in need of surgery. The tumor on my ovaries will not stop growing and, if not removed, it will suffocate my other organs forcing them to shut down. A surgeon has agreed to take on my complex case; however, he is located in Pittsburgh, PA. My husband and I will have to be away from our home in Jacksonville, FL and travel to Pittsburgh, PA for approximately three weeks. We will also have additional caretakers rotating in to help since my husband will still have to work while we are up there. Many people have asked how they can help us, so we figured it was easiest to create a GoFundMe account to assist us with the costs of travel, lodging, food and other expenses related to my condition.
