Battling Lyme, Mercury, and Mold! Support Rylee & Her Family

Donation protected

Rylee has been in a battle to get her health back for the last six plus years. She had a healthy childhood until, at the age of thirteen, she began having debilitating back pain. Doctors told her she was just growing too fast and did little for her. However, as her symptoms worsened and multiplied, she saw many more doctors and specialists (ending up in the Minneapolis Children’s Hospital for a time), but went on in diminishing health for years before Lyme Disease was finally the confirmed diagnosis. To treat the Lymes, doctors put Rylee on several strong antibiotics for several months. Unfortunately, they only succeeded in making her symptoms worse because (as we later learned), antibiotics do not help in those with chronic Lyme Disease as Rylee now had since the disease had gone on undiagnosed for so long. While antibiotics may help some people that have newly contracted Lyme bacteria, for chronic Lyme disease sufferers, antibiotics simply drive the corkscrew borrelia bacteria deeper into a person’s joints to hide from the antibiotics. A Lyme Disease specialist that her parents finally found understood these things and put Rylee on a treatment plan that has finally shown some positive results for her severe case. Still, it has been a very long, hard road not only for Rylee, but the entire family. The healing process from chronic Lyme is slow and has been a series of peeling through layers of detoxing symptoms as the treatment seeks to kill and draw out the Lyme bacteria from deep inside her joints and bones. It is a painful process. As Rylee’s primary care takers, her family does everything they can to make her as comfortable as possible as she goes through the long process of healing from chronic Lyme Disease.

Rylee’s extreme condition is due to the perfect triad storm of Lyme/borrelia bacteria coupled with mercury poisoning and mold allergy which makes her condition one of the more severe cases her doctors have encountered. Because of her condition, and learning about Lyme Disease and co-infections, two other members of Rylee’s immediate family (and several extended family and friends) have discovered their own diagnosis of Lyme disease, have been treated, and have recovered from their diseases. However everyone responds differently to treatments and for Rylee’s extreme case, the fight continues. Everyone treats differently, and a new infusion treatment Rylee has recently started is showing some favorable results, but the healing process takes time.

A medical journey such as this is taxing physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially for the whole family. Rylee, her folks, and her siblings are a hardworking family who are (and, we know, would rather be) givers rather than receivers. However, there is nothing normal about what this disease has done to their daughter and their family. Their immediate family and several other relatives and friends have helped where they can and will continue to help in every way they can. Unfortunately, as the medical bills have continued to pile up over the past several years into the thousands and thousands of dollars, finances have become increasingly stressed. Insurance covers very little of Lyme treatments so almost all of Rylee’s heath care expenses have had to be paid for out of pocket. Therefore, as a means of helping them, we (The Hilgendorf Family Support Group) have decided to open this support page to assist the family and Rylee in her health fight. If you are able, we humbly ask for assistance from anyone who is willing to help by means of holding them up in prayer, passing on the word, or giving a donation. Funds will be used toward Rylee’s infusion therapy treatments and other medical needs. We appreciate your kindness and generosity.

Thank you for taking the time to read Rylee’s story. We will post updates as they come.

Also, see the book Bitten (A history of “Lyme Disease”) by Kris Newby. Lyme Disease, borrelia bacteria, spread to the extent it is today with its many co-infections (38+: Bartonella, Babesia, Ehrlichia, etc.), is a post WWII bioweapon experiment gone wrong. It never should have become this severe or widespread.

Rylee’s Hope and Peace-

Rylee is a fighter and has bravely faced more physical pain than any young girl should have to face in a lifetime. Daily she seeks peace and comfort from her Savior, Jesus Christ, knowing that no matter what happens, the best is yet to come because she has placed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior and thereby is assured of her Heavenly home. One of the toughest parts of Rylee’s battle with her disease has been dealing with the intense pain it causes. However, Rylee does not fear death because she knows God promises eternal life in Heaven for all those who trust His Son, Jesus, as their personal Savior. When Jesus died on the cross, He paid for all our sins. Every person must believe in Jesus’s finished work on the cross for their own salvation (No one can believe it for you. You must believe it for yourself).

The Bible says that God provided a way of salvation

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom. 5:8)

“For I (Apostle Paul) delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” (I Cor. 15:3-4)

To be saved, simply BELIEVE in JESUS as the sacrificial payment for your sins on the Cross

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Eph. 2:8-9)

“…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (as your Savior from your sin), and thou shalt be saved…” (Acts 16:31a)

After you Believe, you are SEALED, reserved for Heaven

“In whom (Jesus Christ) ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.” (Eph. 1:13)

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;” (Titus 1:2)

Many people know Jesus died on a cross, but many still do not understand why. The answer is, He died there willingly to pay for our sins! He endured the pain and agony for sin in our place because He loved us, and Jesus, as the sinless Son of God, was the only One who could completely pay the sin debt for the world. However, just because Jesus paid for everyone’s sins does not mean everyone automatically is saved and goes to Heaven. God does not force anyone to believe in Him. He offers us all a choice, the free will to choose to believe in Jesus as our Savior… or reject Him.

If you have trusted in Jesus’s finished work on the cross as payment for your sins and have accepted Him as your Savior, you are SEALED with that HOLY SPIRIT of promise. (Eph. 1:13) – and your salvation is secure in Christ! Now you too have a promised place in Heaven! You can have “the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, [which] shall keep you hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:7) because you have passed from death to LIFE! Having the security of Salvation in Jesus Christ can help you through all the trials of this life. We pray all who read this know that they are SAVED and have ETERNAL LIFE! No matter how bad your life or health may get, when you are saved, you can be assured that the best is yet to come!

If you have never trusted Jesus as our Savior, please do so today. In the quietness and stillness of your own heart, decide to believe in Jesus’s death on the cross as payment for your sin. Please, make the most important discission of your life and death. Then death just becomes a doorway to Heaven.

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Phil. 1:21)

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” (Rom. 8:18)
