We are raising money for the preservation of the Battlefield site of Cheriton, the only Hampshire Battlefield in the English Civil War. Battle of Cheriton history wiki
Next weekend (march 30th and 31st) Reenactors from from many different societies will be joining the Sealed Knot in marching 15 miles to raise funds for the preservation of this overlooked historical site for preservation of the site, and future commemorative and reenactment education events, as well as the Royal British Legion.
Way back when, I did my A Level history project on the Battle, and as a American Civil War reenactor with www.bucktailslivinghistory.com I know the amazing care the US takes over its preservation of historical battlefield sites, that the UK generally ignores. So Ill be donning my Civil War battle gear and marching the 15 mile route of the Royalist Army to the battle.
Please give generously. It will mean a great deal.
