Basingstoke Community face covering tree

I am setting up a mask tree to aid access to facecoverings for the local community. The masks will be available for all, and free.

As per Who/uk government guidelines it is advised that face coverings are worn when in areas that social distancing cannot be safely maintained. Eg: supermarkets, shops and for them to be worn on public transport and withinhospitals/medical areas. 

I will be making the masks with donated fabric, to the WHO guidelines (please note these are different to PPE DHE 2020). They are two layers of cotton/poly cotton with a pocket for a filter (not provided), they need to be washed after use with detergent and will come with instructions.




The masks are not for profit, however if a donation is possible it will cover the costs of making (eg elastic, bags, thread etc) anything in excess will be donated to the Basingstoke stroke association who have been supporting my dad and The link club which is a social club for teens and young adults with a learning/physical difficulty who are supporting my daughter
