Barrus-Prouse Family Home Fire

Hello, my name is Jennifer Pavlicek, I am a long-time friend of Christi Barrus.

On Thursday, June 8, 2023, the Barrus/Prouse family home started on fire in Aberdeen, SD. Christi and the boys were at home at the time. By the grace of God, the rest of the family was not home! Christi managed to get the boys and pets out of the house but the rest of their home is a total loss. That also means that she lost all of the DoTerra products that she had on hand, which are part of their livelihood.

The family is currently living in a motel. Living in a motel increases expenses like always eating out. Christi has celiac disease so she cannot eat just anything, they have to eat at places that she knows are safe. This can be very costly. The family is hoping to find a rental house soon while they decide on their future. There are blessings in all of this though, they are all alive and safe, Morgan’s things for her wedding in a week were mostly out of the house, and they salvaged some of their irreplaceable things. Christi is very proud and would never ask for help or think that she needs help, she is always the person that is helping others and making everything better for everyone. She would literally give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. If you can help support this thoughtful, caring, and loving family please do.
