Barb's cancer battle
Spende geschützt
Story
Three weeks ago my Aunt, Barbra Eshelman, suffered from a seizure that led to a minor car accident. Although the accident was minor, the news to follow was not. Two days after the accident Barb suffered another set of seizures which required her to be hospitalized further. While conducting tests to find out what was causing the seizures doctors would discover that Barb's seizures were being caused by multiple lesions on her brain. Doctors determined the lesions to be malignant and cancer was found in mulitple areas throughout her body. The Doctors diagnosed her with Stage 4 lung cancer. Barb being the fighter she is, immediately started radiation to treat the brain lesions. After a few treatments she had no choice but to return home under the care of a hired nurse and her son Josh. The rest of the treatments were outpatient services. She met with a chemotherapy doctor and they were trying to develop a plan for her to continue her fight.
Unfortunately, the cancer is spreading quickly and Barb suffered another set of seizures this past week. God willing she will be released soon and return home.
Goal
Barb is one of the strongest women I have ever met , being a single mother she has worked two jobs at times, raising her children Josh Featherman and James DePetro wanting nothing. She has lived a modest life and has always helped those in need. Barb will fight this disease for as long as her body allows and she deserves all the help we can provide her. I am creating this page because I have seen how hard fighting cancer can be and how expensive it is to provide comfort for those who are battling this terrible disease. I am asking that you spare what ever you can to help make sure that she is as comfortable as possible during this uphill battle.
