My name is Julian, and I’m trying to plan my mother's funeral. Barbara Blohm was a mother not just to me but to more kids than I can count. She was like a second mom to my cousins. She volunteered at my school until she got a degree and started working at the Hand in Hand daycare. She spent over fifteen years at Hand in Hand, constantly going above and beyond for those kids. She was a pillar of the community not just because of her work at the schools but also poured herself into the church. She cared for everyone around her, and sometimes these selfless caretakers don’t find time to take care of themselves. The Blohm family is trying to take care of her now the best way we know she would want.
