Slope Rescue Equipment for the Apex Fire Brigade

Given the nature of the mountain roads around Apex it is inevitable that vehicles will slide off the road and possibly over a bank. To rescue an injured person from such a scenario the Apex Fire Brigade requires some basic rope rescue equipment which includes but is not limited to: Harnesses, stretcher basket, ropes, pulleys, belay devices, carabiners and various other hardware to safely execute a rescue.
Normal retail price of this equipment is roughly 10,000-15,000$ however we have been able to source this equipment for approximately half of that.
We are asking the community to rally together with us in raising the funds needed for this live saving equipment, every dollar will count towards reaching our goal of acquiring this equipment.
This equipment will benefit all residents and visitors to the Apex community in the event of an emergency.
We feel that raising funds with an explicitly set goal will allow us to show you exactly where your donations are going and how we are using them. We believe in being 100% transparent with the community in regards to how we spend your donations.
We rely solely on donations to fund our operations which we offer at no charge to the community 24 hours a day 7 days a week with our volunteers putting in countless hours training and preparing to assist you in the event of an emergency.
