BAL KRISHNA GURUNG BRAIN SURGERY FUND
I traveled to Everest Base Camp from 4/3/2019-4/20/2019. My group's guide was a 36-year old gentleman by the name Bal Krishna Gurung (at the center in the picture). On May 22nd, Bal's brother Raju told me that Bal had suffered a stroke and been admitted to the hospital (Norvic International Hospital in Kathmandu ). Bal is a smart man and a beautiful soul.
Bal's most recent diagnosis is in the picture/pdf below. The cost of his treatment is prohibitively expensive and his family of 5 kids and a wife can't afford it. I wish to help raise the funds to cover his treatment and hopefully provide a modicum to his family as they find another way to make a living. Bal may be unable to trek the Himalayas again.
