We do it for Bailey Love

Hi my name is Alisha Booker . I am a single mother was four children and are amazing dog! Last night Bailey went out to use the restroom after about 5 minutes when she didn't come scratching at the door my son knew she must have gotten out of the gate he went outside to call her only to realize that she didn't come running like she normally did . he went to the park across the street because he seen a dog in the distance it wasn't her. By his account he got really scared went around the back of the house as we have apartments back there and seen Bailey standing in the alley behind them she was trying her best to get home but she just dropped to the ground he came carrying her in balling his eyes out she had blood coming out of her mouth and was trying to get up but you could tell that her back end was not doing its job. We immediately rushed her to shively animal clinic where they were unable to see her so we took her to Jefferson animal hospital they originally told me $650 just to give her the exam or they could not see her I drained my bank account running it in the negative to get the exam and meds for her as they said they could not treat her anymore past that due to lack of funds. I was advised that she may or may not make it overnight in the hospital she may or may not make it overnight at home but would be better off in the hospital on IV fluids and oxygen and other IV meds, bloodwork, ect. Since I had exhausted all my funds of course she got sent home I did get as much medication as I could to keep her comfortable she has a couple of fractures in her pelvis significant bruising on her abdomen, bruised lungs, but no sign of any fluid on them which was a good thing. As time went by there her gums began to regain color back and she could still lift her head and upper half trying to stand. She is very alert aware of us though in shock. I could not see myself just putting her down right there even if I had the funds available with her showing signs of improvement and life in that time at the hospital. Who am I to take her life on that moment or give up thinking that she wasn't strong enough to pull through this Who AM I !!! She does need surgeries especially because of the fracture and dislocation of her tail. Though I was unaware without that fixed she can have trouble with her bladder functioning or passing stool which as we all know doesn't end well. I am begging and pleading with anyone that can spare anything PLEASE help us save our baby! To say the least she has far exceeded her role as our emotional support animal! She came into our lives at a very dark time as we were all struggling on different levels mentally and emotionally and brought a different kind of love, a different kind of light, to our family we had never experienced as I have never been a dog person! And at this moment this couldn't have happened at any worse time as it is falling a few days shy of the anniversary of my brothers suicide and anniversary of my friend since middle schools untimely death a few days after my brothers suicide. We need our baby , our friend, our little Bailey Boo Love like nothing else right now and Always Will !!! Please Help if you can my children understand that this will be there Xmas and have expressed that thismeans more to them than any gift they could ever get from me and I understand that she breaths a new life in me that I need just like my children have always done for me .
