For many people who identify as LGBTQ+ and hold multiple marginalized identities related to race, class, sexual and gender identities more often do not have resources for mental health services.
During a global pandemic and a Black Lives Matter movement, many Black, POC and Indigenous, Trans and Gender non Conforming persons are experiencing high levels of stress, anxiety, depression, isolation, grief and loss. Navigating everyday life can be difficult.
Back Talk: is a therapeutic service that utilizes counseling techniques to support socially and culturally diverse clients to express themselves most authentically with a culturally competent and clinically trained therapist (s) FREE of CHARGE!
For just $50 you can sponsor a 1 hour weekly therapeutic session. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to support 30 clients for three consistent months to receive supportive and healing services.
*Each individual will receive a 1 hour weekly zoom session for three months that could help address specific mental health goals.
*Sessions can also include social service support (obtaining legal documents, trans and gender non conforming medically related support/referrals and navigating institutional systems) and more.
* Your financial support can help others minimize stress, increase autonomy and ignite change that is necessary for personal growth.
Who I am:
My name is Devin Niecy, for the past 15 years I have been positively consumed with understanding how the intersections of my identity from birth to current day has impacted my life for the better. Although navigating tough social systems I as a Black, Trans and Queer man has developed a keen sense of awareness and a critical conscious that motivates me to express and advocate for myself and others. I am passionate about supporting others as they navigate their Mind, Body and Social experiences.
I have a Masters Degree in Art therapy & Counseling plus 10 years of clinical and non clinical experience (hospitals, private practice, group homes, hospice) that can support a wide range of mental health needs, while also considering but not limited by age, race, gender, sexuality, spirituality and awareness of different social and cultural dynamics.
The importance of therapeutic support is to find someone who not only understands the importance of diverse experiences but could either identify or relate to your unique differences.
Back Talk is a space that supports YOU, your authenticity and self expression!
*As our client base grows, we will add additional clinically/educated and diverse therapeutic support for You.
*Centering BIPOC LGBTQ+ folxs however all are welcomed.
