Hi friends and family, Brittany and Evelyn here! This year has been quite a rollercoaster. We got married in January and are celebrating 5 years together, we welcomed a beautiful niece, and we lost a special woman, Grammy, who we miss dearly. But through all this some of you may or may not know that we have also been trying to grow our family.
We set aside plans of a dream wedding and buying a house, and decided instead to invest in this journey. It has been a difficult and costly one. We have attempted 7 cycles with a fertility doctor's assistance to no avail. This procedure usually takes within 3-4 tries and after the extended tries, additional tests and medicines, we spent well over our original budget and are nearly at $15,000 in expenses.
Our doctor has diagnosed us with unexplained infertility. The next step is invitro, and is very costly. Insurance covers some but not all of it and while the procedure typically costs about $20,000 we are looking at about $5,000 in out of pocket expenses.
So this year we are humbly asking family and friends to take into consideration forgoing the holiday gifts and instead donating to future baby Hernandez. We understand everyone has their struggles. Every bit will help, and best wishes are welcomed!
