My name is Milton (Milt1) Coronado and I am the artist who created the memorial mural for Marlen Ochoa Uriostegui Lopez.
This past Friday morning thousands of us were impacted by the news of Marlen’s baby’s passing. I am certain we all had high hopes for this innocent life to survive his fight but unfortunately the family will continue to live with more pain and heart ache.
Since his passing I have been asked if I will now include an image of baby Yovany Yadiel next to his mother Marlen on the wall, and to be quite honest, I didn’t. Like you, I also had the desire and the hope for this baby to be a testimony of a miracle. However, after having a conversation with Mr. Ochoa (Marlen’s father) I have been encouraged to create another project: an image of baby Yovany Yadiel Lopez next to his mami.
As you can imagine, to create something like this one needs to invest time, paint, and materials. Here’s where you come in. I would like to open up the floor, and invite you to give whatever your heart desires for the completion of this visual gesture of love. I have been asked in the past how one may get involved in support of this hurting family. This is your chance.
Your monetary gift of love will make a positive impact on:
• The Ochoa-Uriostegui-Lopez family.
• The City of Chicago.
• The community of Pilsen
• Any other person who has been impacted by this story
• Anyone who has lived through the loss of a loved one.
This again, is an invitation and anyone is welcome to participate. If you wish, in recognition of this monetary gift, your family’s name will be added next to the artist’s signature.

Mi nombre es Milton (Milt1) Coronado y soy el artista que creó el mural conmemorativo de Marlen Ochoa Uriostegui López.
El pasado viernes por la mañana, miles de nosotros fuimos impactados por la noticia del fallecimiento del bebe de Marlen. Estoy seguro de que todos tucimos grandes esperanzas de que esta vida inocente sobreviviera su lucha, pero desafortunadamente la familia continuará viviendo con más dolor y sufrimineto.
Desde entonces, el publicity me a preguntado si agora incluiré una imagen del bebé Yovany Yadiel junto a su madre Marlen en la pared, y para ser sincero, no tuve el plan. Al igual que ustedes, yo también tuve el deseo y la esperanza de que este bebé sea un testimonio de un milagro. Sin embargo, después de conversar con el Sr. Ochoa (el padre de Marlen), me anime a crear otro proyecto: una imagen del bebé Yovany Yadiel López junto a su mami.
