My gorgeous niece who is 6weeks old has just been diagnosed with fluid on her Brain and a brain tumor.
The team at lady cliento are currently taking care of her after performing an ultrasound and an MRI on her and have found a tumour at the back part of the brain blocking where the fluid flows through, this has caused her to have a big build up of fluid and pressure on her head.
She has already undergone surgery to drain the fluid and insert a shunt in the back of her head to held drain the fluid. Next step from here is to look into the tumor and work out the best possible treatment and plan to fight this. Given how little she is this is going to be a very difficult and lengthy process. She will be in hospital for the foreseeable future and her mother and father both will be staying by her side throughout the next few months.
The last few months have not been easy for this family with her father having a serious accident a few months before she was born that left him in a coma and unable to work.
With Christmas just around the corner and both parents needing to by their baby’s side I want to do what we can to help them through the next few months.
I thank everybody for your love and support through this hard time.
