Baby Ollie Roche

As family and friends of Sean & Leonie, we would like to reach out to you all for your support during a very hard and difficult time that lies ahead of this amazing family.

Ollies Story

Ollie was born on the 6th of November 2023

weighing 8lbs2oz, a fine healthy baby boy. On Thursday 21st of December 2023 Ollie’s mam Leonie brought Ollie to her GP as she was concerned that he may have reflux due to not keeping his bottles down.

The doctor examined Ollie and referred him to Wexford General Hospital for further tests. Later that evening Ollie was transferred to Crumlin Children Hospital where he underwent more tests and scans. It was later on when Ollie was diagnosed with multiple heart problems which went undetected during pregnancy and after birth.

We were hoping and praying that an operation would be done and he would be on the road to recovery soon after. However on Friday the 22nd of December Ollie's parents Sean and Leonie were given the most heartbreaking, devastating news ever possible.

Ollie is not suitable for the surgery as there is too many complications involved. There is nothing the doctors can do for their little Ollie.

They can now only make him comfortable. Their lives has been turned upside down. Now poor Sean, Leonie and their little girl Fiadh have a very long, hard and dark road ahead of them. To say we are heartbroken for them is an understatement.
