Baby Nixon's Journey
Spende geschützt
Baby Nixon was born June, 10, 2020 to my wonderful sister (Leslie) and her outstanding husband (Stephen) in Knoxville, TN. Soon after birth, the doctors realized his little body wasn't getting enough oxygen into his blood. After many tests and scans, they realized his heart had a profound defect.
Once they were able to diagnose his condition, he was immediately taken to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville. There, Nixon underwent open heart surgery. The first surgery was an overall success, but there were some complications requiring a second invasive surgery.
All praise, honor and glory to God, our creator, for saving this precious child! He has not stopped improving, and our family is exceedingly thankful for the enormous life saving efforts and steadfastness of the army of prayer warriors interceding on his behalf. His initial recovery is nothing short of miraculous.
We don't yet know exactly how long Nixon will remain in recovery; it will obviously be a long road. My sister and her husband live almost 3 hours from Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, which presents daunting logistical challenges, simultaneously caring for their 4 year old son at home while planning trips to/from Nashville, booking hotel stays, meals, gas, etc.
Please join me in praying for Nixon and his loving family.
IMMEDIATE NEEDS:
1) Financial support in order to offset existing travel and lodging costs, as well as future unknown costs related to Nixon's treatment and recovery.
2) Constant prayer for miraculous healing, his continued recovery and for the myriad unknowns on the near horizon.
Thank you for being a critical part of this team, ensuring that this little baby and his amazing parents can have a few less things to worry about. Your gifts enable Stephen and Leslie to focus primarily on Nixon's well being, healing and physical growth during the arduous weeks and months ahead.
100% of donated funds will go directly to Stephen and Leslie, who have oversight of all funds raised.
Thank you!
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
