I’m starting this GoFund Me for Morgan Slawson & Shane Steelman. Morgan was diagnosed with preeclampsia back in June at only 6 months pregnant. She had to spend several weeks in the hospital in Jackson before finally giving birth by c-section to Merrit Elizabeth Steelman on July 3, 2025. Being 2 months early, Merrit only weighed 2lbs 8oz & has been in the NICU since birth. While she is gaining weight & meeting all of her goals she will still be in the NICU for several more weeks. Morgan & Shane are making several trips a week to Jackson to take her breast milk & spend time with her. It has been very hard on them emotionally & financially. Donations will help with gas, food & whatever else is needed for Morgan, Shane & their little family during this time until they can bring sweet Merrit home.
