Baby Kennedy’s Heart Transplant

Baby Kennedy Curry (6 mo old) has been diagnosed with a heart condition called Dilated Cardiomyopathy. Although Doctors have tried to save Kennedy’s heart, it has not responded to medication treatment. Kennedy needs a Heart Transplant and is currently on a National Donors List. Being on a donor list is great but it can be a lengthy waiting process which will require continuous hospitalization for the duration of the transplant process. In the mean time Kennedy will go into surgery to receive a Berlin Heart, which is an artificial pump that will control her heart function until a donor heart becomes available. This will allow Kennedy to live as normal of a life as possible until the transplant date. Even with the Berlin Heart Kennedy will continue to be hospitalized for consistent monitoring and treatment.

Kennedy’s Family are asking for any donations that you are able to give and also prayers. This is a very expensive journey that will require one or both of her parents to stop working in order to provide Kennedy with the best treatment and support.
