On August 20th, my 21 month old nephew, Elliot Justin was in a near drowning accident. He was found unresponsive in a pool and was airlifted to Nicklaus children's hospital in Miami where he's currently in the ICU. We are not certain of the extent of his brain injury but he is alive and for that we are thanking God everyday.
However this is going to be a very long journey and a long recovery process. Unfortunately covid-19 has complicated things even more which means only one parent can be with him at a time so mom and dad are having to take shifts. As a result, they have had to rent rooms locally to stay in because Ronald McDonald House won't let anyone stay due to the pandemic. It's going to be a while before baby Elliot will be home and in the meantime I'm asking everyone to donate whatever you can to help us provide for the family. Neither mom or dad are at work right now because the hospital is located hours away from home and they can't bear to leave his sight.
We appreciate all the prayers and support. I will post updates as we receive them so you can follow his journey. Thank you and God bless you all.
