A friend told me about this site and thought it would be a great way to help my mom with her medical bills.
About 2 months ago my mom was diagnosed with Colon Cancer and its been kind of a bumpy road ever since. I think waiting is worst part, like has the tumor grown? Is it treatable? When is the surgery? What happens next after surgery? I think you get my point. She went in for surgery June 19th and was in surgery for about 4 hrs or so. It seemed like so much longer though. When the surgeon came out to talk us he explained that the tumor was bigger than they originally thought and that it also ruptured during surgery. Luckily when it ruptured it did not go into the bladder which would have caused a mass infection. I will say she was in great hands cause we were at an awesome hospital (USC Keck Hospital). Unfortunately the journey isn't over yet, in the next few weeks the talk of chemo will now need to be discussed and i know that jus weighs on her mind everyday.
