Life Transition Help

10 years ago my husband joined the military as a very tattooed person (this happened frequently after 911). He's had every intention of fullfilling 20-30 years of service. However, the Army has decided to change their minds on tattoos and their "grandfathering" policy. My husband is now being separated from the Army... we have approx. 60 days left before our journey to a new life.
As it stands now we owe money on the car that we share and we have maybe just over half of what we need to put down on a house.
In the 3 years that I've been married to him he's helped me pay off piles of hospital bills/debt, he made it so it was possible for me to go back to school, and he's encouraged all my artsy ventures...
For this I owe him every thing I can...
My hope is to raise enough money to help pay off some of the car to make the transition from one type of life to another easier.
He has no idea that I'm doing this...please help me surprise him with a little less on his plate come time that the Army fully cuts all ties.
