Arizona Climate Strikes

We, the Youth of Arizona, will be striking once again on September 20th across Arizona. We are striking because eleven years remain to avoid the most catastrophic effects of climate change to future generations. We are striking because marginalized communities across our nation are already disproportionately impacted by climate change. We are at a turning point in history. Our futures are at stake. We call for radical legislative action to combat climate change and its countless detrimental effects on the American people. We are striking for the Green New Deal, the Arizona Heritage Fund, a Public lands day, protection of our public lands and Arizona’s Ecological Water, and to stop fracking and other harmful practices. We are fighting for a fair and just transition to decarbonize the US economy, and other legislative action that combats the effects of climate change.
