Ayudar al Proyecto Vecinal de Alimentos de Mogán

Somos el único reparto de alimentos (compuesto enteramente por voluntarios y en convenio con el Banco de Alimentos de Las Palmas) del municipio de Mogán en Gran Canaria, actualmente aportamos alimentos a unas 800 personas por semana. Al ser desalojados por el Ayuntamiento en octubre de 2020 del local municipal que llevábamos utilizando desde el año 2008, nos vimos obligados a alquilar un local que, al reunir todas las condiciones exigidas por el Banco de Alimentos y las autoridades competentes, cuesta 2.000 euros al mes. Estamos a la espera de una subvención que debe sernos abonada en el mes de septiembre, pero hasta que llegue, tenemos que pagar el alquiler. Sin local adecuado no podemos llevar a cabo nuestra labor. We are the only Food Distribution Organisation (working with the Food Bank of Las Palmas) in the municipality of Mogán on Gran Canaria and are currently giving out food to around 800 persons per week. Last October 2020 we were evicted from the municipal premises we had been using since 2008 by the Town Council of Mogán and forced to rent new premises to continue with our Volunteer work and the only one that met the requirements set by the Food Bank and associated Authorities, costs 2,000 Euros per month. We are awaiting a grant from the Cabildo (Island Government) which is to be paid to us in September. Meanwhile, we have to pay the rent and need your help! Without adequate premises to store the food, it all falls apart. Thanks very much for your help and support!
