"Am johna from the smiling coast of west Africa In The Gambia ,I do hard labor works here most of the times ever since i become a drop out from school due to the conditions at home mother is old can’t do much so I struggle most of the times to have good food with my families as the elder in the compound everyday is a struggle day for me in the streets to have foods and make the families happy we all pray to lord Jesus will be great, we where not in this condition before because our father was trying for us he is the one paying my schooling and paying out rent I was an electrician so he work very hard to make us happy in that he full sick and we ask all his family members they say if he want he die they didn’t care about it we ask for help to take him to hospital no one helps us in that situation he passed away may he souls rest in peace and since that I became a drop out so I do everything to feed my family am 17 years old boy having siblings".

My name is René, and I'm Mexican. I met Bakary on Instagram through the comments I leave on posts about the Word of God. In our conversation, he told me about his situation and how, through prayer, he's been asking God for providence to help his family after his father's death. This is where I felt it was an opportunity to answer his prayers with a little money I was able to give him to buy food.
He's a 17-year-old boy desperate to help his mother and siblings through the financial situation they face in the African country, in a small town called Brikama Town.
After his father's death, he has had to take care of feeding his mother, Jarrie, brothers Amadou and Alieu, and his little sister, Joanna. These days, I've been able to observe Bakary's or Johna's growth by speaking to her about the Word of God. I've also been able to observe how King Solomon, when he had the opportunity to ask for riches, asked for wisdom to be able to face daily life. This is something he has been putting into practice, but given the situation he faces every day, it's difficult for him to fully focus because he has the responsibility of filling the role left by his absent father.

In the Word of God, God speaks about how charity is one of the main pillars for manifesting the essential values of our Heavenly Father.
Those who practice charity, as the Bible says, cannot remain only in the "commotion of the heart" (feeling sorrow or pain), but must act. Charity also means putting oneself in the place of another, feeling the suffering of others as if it were one's own, and helping them free themselves from that situation of helplessness, abandonment, and hopelessness. Jesus always reached out to those in need. This is how we Vincentians should be as well: a helping hand for the most humble.
In James 2:17-22 it is mentioned:
"17 So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead, being alone. 18 But someone will say, 'You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.' 19 You believe that there is one God; you do well. Even the demons believe and tremble. 20 But do you want to know, you vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you not see that faith was working with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?"

And with this we can conclude that charity is the action of putting faith into will, doing something, contributing with a work, building the faith of Jesus Christ with the work he left us on the cross and that gave us the victory of being able to sympathize with our fellow men to strengthen the bonds of unity that make us brothers, this is why Bakary thought that I support him by creating this campaign on this page to be able to collect funds to continue supporting his family and his studies, he leaves us a message that I am happy to share with you:

"Am johna from the smiling coast of west Africa In The Gambia, I do hard labor works here most of the times ever since I become a dropout from school due to the conditions at home mother is old can't do much so I struggle most of the times to have good food with my families as the elder in the compound every day is a struggle for me in the streets to have food and make the families happy we all pray to lord Jesus will be great, we where not in this condition before because our father was trying for us he is the one paying My schooling and paying out rent. I was an electrician, so he worked very hard to make us happy. He was completely sick, and we asked all his family members to say, "If he wants to die, they didn't care about it." We asked for help to take him to the hospital. No one helps us in that situation. He passed away. May his soul rest in peace. Since I became a dropout, I do everything to feed my family. I am a 17-year-old boy with siblings."

His Instagram handle is @john.a730, and mine is @reneahache. I will personally send him the money collection via Western Union, where he received the previous donation I made for food and the doctor's appointment for his sister, who had been hospitalized.

In the name of God and Bakary's family, we thank you for supporting them in these tribulations they are going through. Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
