"Help Me Save My Mother Expedita Reyes Life – Urgent"
Donation protected
My name is Elizabeth Denis, and today I write these words with my heart in my hands, pleading for help to save the life of my mother, Expedita Reyes, a brave 69-year-old woman who is facing the most critical moment of her life.
My mother urgently needs a high-risk and very expensive heart surgery. The procedure includes aortic valve replacement, coronary artery bypass grafting, ligation and removal of the left great saphenous vein, and arterial anastomosis, and will be performed by Dr. Julius Leyba at Centro Médico CEDIMAT. The total cost is RD$1,886,234.00 Dominican pesos (over $30,000 USD)—a number far beyond what we as a family can afford.
My mother worked for over 25 years at the well-known Casa de Campo Resort in La Romana, and currently, despite her serious health condition, continues working hard for a private family in a villa because she has no other choice. She has been forced to keep going and pushing herself, even with a failing heart, simply because she cannot afford to stop and prioritize her health.
We are only two daughters: my sister Gloribi and me. I live in the United States, I’m a mother of three, and I work a low-income job doing my best to support from afar. My sister Gloribi, who lives in the Dominican Republic, also faces serious challenges as she suffers from systemic lupus erythematosus, a chronic autoimmune disease that severely affects her health.
Our mother has always been our pillar—our example of sacrifice, strength, and dignity. She’s always been there for us, and now, she is the one who needs our help—and yours.
The amount we’re requesting represents about 30% of the total cost of the surgery. Although she has health insurance, it does not cover the entire procedure, and this gap must be paid out-of-pocket.
The official estimate, provided by Centro Médico CEDIMAT, is RD$1,886,234.00, and the surgery will be performed by Dr. Julius Leyba. This campaign does not yet include post-operative care, extended hospitalization, medication costs, or required blood donations, which we will face later.
We have all official medical documents and cost breakdowns, and if anyone wishes to verify the information, you may contact me directly, and I will gladly provide everything. I am fully open to answering any questions with complete transparency.

That’s why I come to you with a heart full of faith and hope. Any donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to saving my mother’s life. If you’re unable to donate, please share this campaign with your friends, family, and community. Together, we can make this possible.
Thank you for reading, sharing, praying, and helping. May God return to you double for everything you do for others.
With all my gratitude,
Elizabeth Denis
