Many have asked how they can assist the Kuhlmey family during this horrific time, so I have set up an account that will go directly to the needs of their family.
I became instant friends with the Kuhlmey family because we were both new to the Chesapeake area, and our sons played baseball together. Since meeting them, they have become family to us.
On Thursday, June 10th, Robyn took Ayden to the ER because she knew something was not quite right. After many hours, he was diagnosed with Meningitis. He was transported via ambulance to CHKD. Upon arrival, Ayden’s condition rapidly became critical. He had low mobility on his left side, and an abscess on his brain that required immediate brain surgery. He is currently in the PICU at CHKD in critical condition.
This family would never ask for anything from us, but I can only imagine how quickly the medical bills, and additional costs are going to add up.
