Ayuda a mi papá a recuperarse con cirugía y terapi

Queridos amigos y familia,
Como algunos de ustedes saben, nuestro papá fue recientemente diagnosticado con una infección que le atacó la médula espinal a nivel epidural, además generó un derrame pleural en ambos pulmones y se desarrollaron también abscesos infecciosos, éste cuadro de no tratarse lo antes posible pone en alto riesgo su salud. Por lo pronto ha perdido por completo fuerza, movilidad y sensibilidad de la mitad de su cuerpo, tiene dificultad respiratoria y hay que hacer una cirugía para corregir el problema y drenar los abscesos infecciosos, además del tratamiento con medicamentos.
A pesar de que él es derechohabiente del IMSS, en tiempo de pandemia eso no nos ayuda, lo recibieron en su clínica donde no cuentan con neurólogos que puedan atender su enfermedad y al querer trasladarlo a La Raza no fue posible por falta de disponibilidad. Los hospitales privados no covid también están saturados pero afortunadamente lo recibieron en el Hospital San Ángel Inn de Patriotismo (hospital no covid), donde lo diagnosticaron y está actualmente hospitalizado y recibiendo tratamiento.
Estamos en espera de que su condición mejore para poder dar el siguiente paso que es la cirugía que ayudará a liberar la obstrucción de la médula causada por ésta infección y drenar los abscesos. El tratamiento que está recibiendo es de alta gama, su costo es muy elevado ya que el medicamento tiene un precio bastante alto y requiere de una gran dosis por día.
Es por ello que hemos decidido solicitar su ayuda generosa para financiar la compra urgente de medicamentos y llevar a cabo la cirugía mayor, ya que nos es imposible cubrir el costo en el corto plazo.
El dinero recaudado también se utilizará para cubrir cualquier cuidado paliativo posible, honorarios de enfermeras y/o doctores, medicamentos y cualquier otro servicio para brindar la mayor ayuda a nuestro papá.
Independientemente de si les es posible apoyar con un donativo, siempre les agradeceremos tener a nuestro papá y mamá en sus oraciones en este difícil momento.

Dear family and friends,
Perhaps some of you have heard abouth our father's health condition. He was recently diagnosed with an infection that is seriously affecting his spinal cord. Moreover, a pleural effusion was generated in both lungs. At this point, he has completely loss mobility, strength and sensitivity over half his body and continues with respiratory distress. If these diseases are not treated immediately, his health will be in serious risk. Doctors are recommending surgery and medications in order to drain infectious abscesses.
Despite the fact that he is a beneficiary of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (also known as IMSS), the pandemic does not help as there are no options to receive any treatment as of now. We took our father to one of its hospitals through the emergency room, but it was not possible to take care of him due to lack of beds, medicines, and Doctors. Although private hospitals are full of patients as well, we were lucky to find the San Angel Inn Hospital at Patriotismo Avenue, where he has been receiving attention for a week.
His condition needs to improve to be able to proceed with a surgery that will help to release the spinal cord obstruction caused by the infection and then drain the abscesses. Meanwhile, he is getting a high-end treatment that is quite costly since the drug he needs is very expensive and requires a large dose per day.
Unfortunately, we are afraid we will not be able to afford all expenses that are adding up every day, so we have decided to ask for your generous contribution to buying medications needed as well as carrying out major surgery.
