Aloha Family and Friends,
For the first time ever, Hawaii women’s rugby has been invited to play in the USA Rugby National Club 7s Tournament this year. The tournament will be held in Seattle, WA August 9 and 10. We have created an all-star team to ensure we can compete with the top-level mainland teams. Combining the best of the Harlequins, Laie Lions, Raiders, and Titans to make the “Mana Wahine” Women’s 7s team (roster of 15).
We are honored to have USA Rugby give Hawaii an automatic seed to play in the tournament, keeping us from incurring more costs to travel for playoff games. But we still need your help to raise the funds to support our Mana Wahine in this milestone for Hawaii Women’s Rugby.
With Rugby 7s being introduced to the Olympics in 2016, this is the first step in elevating our Hawaii players and giving them the opportunity to showcase their talents.
We appreciate any donations you can give, as every little bit counts. And we look forward to representing Hawaii at the National Club 7s Tournament!
