Help Me Build This Orphanage

to build this Ophanage!!

Hi, My Name is Camrin Jurnee Beckman, I'm 15 Years old & I really need help to raise money to improve the kids living conditions at an orphanage I visited in December in the mountains of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. I will be posting pics, updates and personally answering every question througout this project & both phases so you &/or even maybe your family, church, group or whoever can be an active part of it with us from close or far away. Even maybe plan your next vacation next Summer to help finish Phase # 2 & see all the progress that's been made? :-)
Trip is July 22nd to August 2nd, 2014 
This is Whats Needed:
$6500.00 -13,000 Cinder Blocks
$1,000.00 -Rebar
$1,000.00 -Concrete Mix
$450.00 -Sand
$550.00 Transport of Materials
$9600.00 BUILDING SUPPLIES TOTAL
*Wish List Fund for Orphan Beach Day Trip* ~ @ $450 to Rent a Bus and driver for the day, purchase bathing suits and lunch and dinner for all the kids.

It started when my Dad and I took a little vacation recently to the Dominican Republic and found ourselves at “Casa Tesoro's de Dios” (which in English translation means “Treasures of God Home”) It’s an orphanage that has 41 kids ranging from 2 years old to 13, AND GET THIS, they literally have two bedrooms to split between ALL of them. We did a little clown show and made animal balloons which they loved but after seeing that these kids that already have no parents, have literally no space to live in, I had to figure out how to do more to help. So, I thought what better way than to get my dad, a small construction company owner, and me and my mom (borrowing her FB account and Friends List lol!)  to get even just small donations from friends & family and anyone else possible to build a second floor out of concrete cinder block? We need at the least 13,000 blocks for Phase # 1. Now I know that sounds like a lot but they are only .50 each and really anything would help. Just think how much of a change in the DAILY living conditions this ALL could do. We would LOVE for you to join us too…..BUT even if you can’t in person would you consider buying a few blocks for us?

PS. Details on Wish List!! So...the construction fund is #1 priority but I was also totally shocked by finding out that while these kids live on an island....MANY of them have NEVER BEEN TO A BEACH because it's over an hour away and transport is difficult. This is part of what I want to do while my Dad helps with the construction. How COOL would that be?!!! When was the last time you saw someone take in the beach for the first time?!!! I promise many pictures!

*Currently 6 Volunteers and counting will be paying ALL their own travel cost and donating their time so  fully 100% of all donated funds will go directly towards the orphanage construction.... and beach trip for the kids with any remainder. :)

**Any money above our goal goes... TO ME...JUST KIDDING...it goes to Phase # 2 for the roof. :-)
