Aubree's Wish (for the families of the fallen 13)

A note from Aubree's parents;

Hello, Aubree's mother and I are beyond proud of our little lady. Two years ago (2019), Aubree spoke with her mother and asked if she could do something different for her birthday. At a night of fun at one of our neighboring town's festivals, Aubree had a lengthy conversation with a K9 officer and their handler. She learned about the program and the overwhelming cost where they need to rely on donations. She lost sleep that night, thinking about the dogs that would/could be at risk without the proper gear. She asked if it would be wrong if she asked people to donate to the K9 program for our local county, and it made both her mother and I cry. Through hard work and determination, she was able to collect $1300.00 to donate to them. Last year (2020) Aubree fought through the covid shutdown, with similar determination, for the local animal shelter where she was able to collect $700.00 as well as have animals sponsored until their adoption.

This brings us to this year (2021), Aubree struggled with finding a cause that she could get behind and fight to collect money for. She spoke with us and her mother mentioned the families of the fallen 13 soldiers. Aubree immediately said yes and hasn't looked back. I write you this because Aubree is shy and does not want any recognition for herself and I felt that a small background could help in your decision to help. Aubree asked that I include each of their names because she said "they are more than just a number". We love her so much.

We will let the fundraiser continue through the end of the year but at the beginning of November, we would like to make the initial donation to the families of these heroes. Each family will receive 1/13 of the total and will be recorded for release on YouTube so that everyone can see the transfer of funds. If you are a family member or know of them, please email me with their contact information so that we can disperse the funds.
