Legal Relief for Austin Dreamers

Help cover the cost of pro-bono legal help for Austin immigrants.

800,000 immigrant youth were protected from deportation under DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) but now they need your help.

Undocumented youth who have work permits expiring before March 5th can apply for renewals but only if they re-apply by October 5th.

A renewal guarantees them protection from deportation for 2 years and the ability to continue working.

University Leadership Initiative, an undocumented youth group at UT-Austin, will host pro-bono legal clinics with legal partners to help Austin immigrants submit their applications before the deadline. 

95% of all funds donated to this GoFundMe will go towards the costs of legal clinics. Any funds leftover from legal clinics will go to stipends for the application fees.

DACA renewals cost $495 each. The remaining 5% is a GoFundMe transaction cost.
