Atkinson House Expansion!
Donation protected
Hello! We are friends of Matt and Jen Atkinson and we want to let you know about an opportunity to help fund their house expansion!

The Project
The Atkinson family is working to build a much needed addition onto their home. The addition will increase the square footage of their home from 1224 to 2240. It’s a move they are excited to make - and they need assistance to move the project forward before the crisp fall air sets in!
You can be a part of making their dream a reality!
All of the funds raised via Go Fund Me will go directly into materials costs for the completion of the house expansion project.

The Couple
Matt and Jen recently celebrated 20 years of marriage. They knew from the beginning that they wanted to add to their family through adoption, and that they wanted to be involved in ministry through their church and in their community. Over the years these goals have been realized. Their family gradually increased to include 8 children, a beautiful blend of children each with their own origin story. In addition, the Atkinsons have cared for nearly 60 foster care children over the years.
While opening their home to little ones in need certainly is a ministry of its own, Matt and Jen also have given much of themselves to supporting not only their church community, but also Upendo Orphanage in Mzuzu, Malawi. Matt is currently pastor at Faith Chapel, leading worship, preaching, and offering pastoral care. In addition to her many talents, Jen teaches MAPP classes for prospective foster parents in Monroe County.

The Family
The Atkinsons demonstrate the best of what foster care is meant to be. They are actively involved in the details of each child’s life, offering loving, connected parenting, no matter how long or short the stay. Sometimes the Atkinsons connect with their foster kid’s family members, sharing special occasions and offering such a beautiful way of doing family in community.

Why Crowdfund?
If you know Matt and Jen, then you’ve personally experienced the generosity of their time, resources, and love. It only seems natural to let you know about this opportunity to give back in a meaningful way. If you don’t know Matt and Jen, perhaps you’ve received a forward from a friend whose life was impacted by them. Or maybe you are passionate about adoption and foster care. Whatever the case, we think it makes perfect sense to spread the word about the house expansion project.
Let’s move this project forward! Join us by donating any amount. And spread the word!
