Rick's Feel Better Fund

A father of two, and local business owner, Richard Lauretta recently suffered a stroke on a job site April 14th.
Rick, as he is usually called, is an honest, caring individual, who's time is spread so thin, managing a business and family. Even being spread so thin, he still finds the time to help others wherever he can. Richard has donated time and services to people in need, never wanting or expecting recognition of any kind. He has shown his dedicated support and his personal integrity, by helping individuals and organizations. This includes our local Animal shelter and Woman's shelter as well. Mr. Lauretta is someone everyone can look up to in more ways than one. He has an admirable amount of patience, and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Rick's current condition has us all heartbroken.
He was alone when the stroke began and was fortunate enough to be physically able to contact someone to have an ambulance sent for him. Mr. Lauretta is extremely lucky to be alive, but is currently paralyzed on the right side of his body, and has a long road ahead of him. He is expecting a year long recovery, with months of that time being put toward rehabilitation. Mr. Lauretta today sits afraid, conscious, and aware of what has occurred;  struggling with the uncertainty of his recovery and, of the future costs. His mind which should be resting, focusing on healing, is in a nonstop spiral of fear and worry.
