Caregiving for Margaret

In July 2019, Margaret (my grandma) was hospitalized with kidney failure which was quite a shock to us as family since she had been in seemingly good health and was continuing to work full time as a preschool teacher. Her scans and tests would then reveal she had a mass in her abdomen and soon thereafter the diagnosis: Cancer. We were all shocked and soon thrown into navigating how to help care for her in the best possible way.

  As her has cancer progresses, her care needs become more complex and emergent. Since her diagnosis my mom/Margaret's daughter, Brenda, has been the primary at home caregiver while working full time herself. With medical complications mounting, it is not realistic for Brenda to be able to keep up the care demands on her own. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover the cost of an caregiver and it averages $4,000/month for full time care.

  We are asking for help in raising funds equivalent to 2 months of full time caregiving. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated at this time. My family and I thank you for your support during this challenging phase of our lives.
