Assistance needed for Leevi's mom.

Hello friends and family of Leevi -

For those that don’t know, Leevi has quite a few conditions that affect his health, but definitely doesn’t diminish any part of his fun loving personality. Some of those major conditions are:

Tricuspid atresia (single ventricle instead of 2)

VSD Ventricular Septal Defect (a hole in the wall of the heart)

Complex Partial Seizures

Rubinstein - Taybi Syndrome (effects physical features such as height, eyes and phalanges)

Dextrocardia (the heart is positioned on the right side of the chest instead of its normal position on the left side)

Those are only a few of his major conditions. Keeping those in mind, Leevi was rushed to the ER after vomiting blood on the night of November 22nd. That was only the start of something mysterious, dangerous and scary. After Leevi was stabilized, it was test after ct scan after x-ray after operations, and for a while, no one knew where his blood kept coming from - he even needed multiple transfusions. The doctors still are unsure of the bleeding as the scan was done when the bleeding wasn’t active. In the whole time he’s been in the hospital, he has gone into cardiac arrest 2 times. He has contracted RSV and is on quite a few meds to help him stabilize. However, he has gotten coils and stents in some arteries to hope and pray that it has stopped the bleeding. He recently had fluids in his lungs that were drained, and the doctor said he will most likely not be home until after the holidays.

Through all of this, Leevi’s mother, Amber, has been devoting all of her time to being at the hospital with Leevi, right there at his bedside. This has unfortunately rendered her unable to work. What us, a family, is asking from you is some assistance in helping Amber with her own bills that she would otherwise pay for with her wages earned as a single mother. We would appreciate any amount, or even a share for Leevi and Amber, and please send all of your prayers, happy and healthy thoughts for both Leevi and Amber through this especially tough time.
