Assistance for Joyce after Major Surgery
Spende geschützt
As many of you may know, Mom (Joyce) has been recovering from unexpected colon surgery on May 31st. She went to the ER on Mother’s Day after prolonging severe stomach pain. They released her with antibiotics after a few days and her health slowly declined. The pain was so severe that we called the ambulance and she required emergency Colon Surgery. It was a difficult road to recover in the hospital without seeing her family and navigating temporary life changes by having this type of surgery. Approximately, 10 days in the hospital, the DR recommended next step was rehab. Thank goodness, NO CANCER.
After being released from Rehab, home for less than a week, to be transported back to the hospital by ambulance AGAIN with severe back pain. This time, the phone call was to get to the hospital immediately because Mom had blood clots in her legs and her lungs. This required another extended hospital stay until July 7th.
We are extremely grateful that Mom is on her way to recovery. Unfortunately, she still has one more less invasive surgery once her body heals and continue to keep a close watch on the elevated heart rate after open heart surgery in 2015.
We’ve had an outpouring of LOVE and Support during all of this and appreciate that immensely. This is not something that we would consider doing and been encouraged by many of her friends to start this page. The cost of medical bills is overwhelming and not being able to work consistently is stressful for her. Please consider passing the message along and thank you all for everything.
