Our family is grieving the loss of Tom Beaudoin, a Vietnam veteran who lived with the long-term effects of jungle fever, Agent Orange exposure, multiple strokes, and fought through three rounds of cancer over the past five years — including prostate and bone cancer. He fought with everything he had until his final day.
Tom and his wife Sharon were married for 58 years and spent their life together in Northern Michigan. About five years ago, they lost their home in a fire and had to use all of their savings just to stay on their feet. They lived off Tom’s military income, and now that he has passed, Sharon has no income at all.
They were simple, peaceful people who enjoyed the little things in life. For over 40 years, they shared small traditions like sitting outside, feeding the deer, watching the birds, and enjoying the quiet moments together — just one of the many routines that made up their life side by side.
This fundraiser is to help Sharon with daily living expenses, medical needs, and the stability she needs as she tries to navigate life without the man she spent nearly six decades with. It’s also to help her keep the traditions that kept their world turning, the small routines that will help keep her soul alive through this heartbreaking transition.
Anything helps — even a share.
Thank you for supporting our family and honoring Tom’s life, service, and the love he and Sharon built together.
