Assist My Mother After Fire Tragedy

Totally against my mother’s wants, as she is embarrassed enough & NEVER asks for help let alone a handout. I felt the need to create this & was asked due to several people asking how they can help and if an account was already set up. As well as knowing my mother goes above and beyond for anyone and everyone and deserves more than life has been offering her.

April 23th 2025 my mother’s dog alerted her of a fire. She lives in a duplex. The neighbors side was engulfed in flames and my mother was home alone. She called my frantic pleading for help the house was on fire. By the time I got to her, she was able to confine the dogs to her car in hopes it didn’t catch fire as it was the furthest away. I took the dogs to my house as the fire department handled the fire, thankfully quickly as possible.

The half of her house her neighbor lives in is ashes from front to back. By the grace of god everyone and all animals made it out safely.

My mother does not need any belongings at this time but it is not safe to stay in her home. We are waiting for the fire Marshall’s determination and the insurance companies ruling. Half that is posted , ashes front to back means if they tear it down, my mother’s house goes too. Regardless she needs a new home and did not have renters insurance. We are all looking for a place to rent affordable but I know buying is cheaper than renting.

I am by no means begging for help for her , however I was asked to create something so those that do love and care for her can help. If you’d like to send directly to me please message me. We’ve been in contact with Red Cross , and the county. With the funds from this we will put towards her new home whether it be security deposit and first month rent. Or help with a down payment on a new home.

I was also told about a program through a bank with an account I am going to look into. I will update this whenever I can. Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

If you feel the desire to help please do so, if not. Please just pray. She’s been through alot these last few months, just recently got out of the hospital 2 days ago , and since I’m being transparent, her health is not the greatest and I’m worried more now than ever.
