Assist My Dad

My Dad, Darrell has always been a man of sacrifice. He would give the shirt off his back to help even a stranger.  He and my mom had been married for 27 years. She was a great woman, but about 10 years ago she started drinking and became an alcoholic. My dad took his wedding vows seriously though and tried to love her through it all. Through the alcohol abuse, the verbal, emotional and even some physical abuse from her. We tried to get her to go into rehabilitation but she refused. Last year, 3 days before my dads 60th birthday, he found out his wife had been having an affair. She left one night and never returned, we found out she moved in with her new boyfriend. My dad tried to get her to return but it was of no use. He ended up filing for divorce at the beginning of 2020. Unfortunately, my moms lawyer managed to swing her receiving $30,000. We have managed to raise  and pay $15,000 for him so far but the remaining is due by the end of November 2020. My dad is on a limited income due to being physically disabled. He was left with the mortgage and all the bills of the house with no additional income anymore. Unfortunately if he does not come up with the remaining monies, he will have to forfeit the house to her and then he will not have a place to live.  He is unable to refinance the property due to him not bringing in enough income.  All of this stress has been taking a toll on his health. We would be so grateful for any and all help that could be provided. This will be a great gift for someone who has always put everyone above himself all his life.
