Ashley Anderson's Cancer Journey

Hi, my name is Sierra Salazar; I am creating this GoFundMe for my sister-in-law Ashley Anderson. Ashley is the mother to my nieces and has a handsome son as well. On October 21, 2022, Ashley had a tumor removed that was completely blocking her airway to her right lung. On October 26, 2022, Ashley was informed of an Atypical Neuroendocrine Carcinoid Cancerous Tumor diagnosis. This is a scarce type of Cancer. Friday November 18, 2022, a PET Scan was completed to see if cancer had spread. We will not know any treatment options until the PET scan results are finalized. Ashely also has a nodule on her liver; confirmation of cancer is unknown until PET scan results are in. She will undergo surgery to remove 1/3 of the right lung if the cancer is only the lung. She will be traveling to MD Anderson in Houston, TX, for treatment because the Oncologist here in San Antonio is unsure of this type of cancer. 90% of the tumor was removed during the 1st procedure. Ashley's case was presented in front of the Tumor Board on November 21, 2022, to find the most accurate treatment for Ashely. Ashely has been contacted by MD Anderson in Houston, TX and will be traveling for an appointment this week. Please, any help will be greatly appreciated, big or small, to help with medical bills, gas for traveling to MD Anderson, food, etc. We also ask that you please keep Ashley in your daily prayers as her journey is just beginning. Also, pray for her three beautiful children, as they will also need support through this journey.
