ASA Tornado Relief Fund

Update: We received a very generous, anonymous donation of $5,000 via check and are reducing our goal accordingly. We're so close!!! Please give any amount to help our families get back on their feet after the devastating tornadoes.

At Abramson Sci Academy, our hearts ache for those impacted by the tornado that devastated New Orleans East on Tuesday, February 7, especially those a part of our immediate family. Twelve of our scholars were directly impacted, many of whom are now displaced and have lost everything - their homes, their belongings, and the lives they and their families have built are gone. Many more, who were fortunate to avoid direct damage, are surrounded by relatives - aunts, cousins, lifetime family friends experiencing the same.  Our community needs our help now more than ever.

Abramson Sci Academy is located across the street from Joe Brown Park, which is being operated by the New Orleans Department of Health & Safety and the American Red Cross as a temporary shelter for those affected. We are grateful for the city-wide resources that will certainly aid in recovery for the families of our scholars and we feel charged as a school to stand with our community in bold and powerful ways.  All of the money we raise will go to the families of those we serve daily and the American Red Cross.
