To all my FB family and friends. We need your help. As you all have seen our posts regarding my beloved brother Arturo Zamora had a life threatening accident on June 9. He was in ICU for 6.5 weeks fighting for his life. He is now in a step down unit. We all prayed to God for a miracle and never left his side. My brother is the type of person that if you are in need, he will take the shirt of his back and give you his last dollar. Arturo doesn’t care about status, money, material things. He cares about people. That is why so many have come to his bedside gotten on their knees and prayed to God to have mercy on him and save his life.
Many of our close friends know our story. I will share a bit here with you to help you understand his soul and where it comes from. My family and I arrived in the US as political refugees. Our dad was held "jailed" for a couple of years as political prisoner. My mom came with her 4 kids and $0 in her pocket as everything (money, clothes, food) was confiscated at the airport as we were leaving Nicaragua. We literally came with just the clothes on our back. My dad studied law, my mom was a professor, yet came here to start a new life doing any job to support their family. During our first month here, Thanksgiving celebrations were taking place. The elementary school we attended was holding a food drive for a “needy family”. We all came home and asked Mom for can goods as there was a family in need that needed assistance. A week later, a couple of Cuban teachers showed up at our door with Thanksgiving food baskets which included our donated can goods!! My mom nor we felt we were poor and in need, after all we had our houses, money, farms in Nicaragua, little did we know those would also be confiscated. My point being, it was instilled in us from an early age to give to others. This is why my brother is so loved, because he lends a helping hand, gives what he has with 0 expectations. Our family has never asked anyone for help, we’ve survived war, starting from zero but all because we had each other. In this case, we are asking for your help. $5, $10, $20 even $1. My brother DOES NOT have health insurance, the costs are and will be beyond what we as a family can bear. Arturo has a long road ahead. Once he is discharged, he will go into a long-term care facility, then a rehab facility and after ongoing physical therapy.

As you all might of heard, our dear friend Arturo Zamora has been in a horrible life threatening accident. Arturo is a fighter, strong as a bull and his zest for life is even stronger. He has been fighting for his life ever since last friday.
We have been overwhelmed by the amount of love and support Arturo and his family have received during this difficult time. The outpour of prayers, well wishes and love in light of this terrible accident is a true testament of what a special person he is. Arturo has truly touched so many throughout the years, he is the connector that keeps so many of us in touch with each other. Once again we call uppon you, his derest friends to help him and his family during his recovery. We all have had the gift of having him be part of our lives, he is one of the kindest, funniest, and loyal friend some of us will ever have so please open your hearts and help! Regardless of the outcome he will have a though battle ahead of him.
