Arts for Autism New York Trip

Donation protected
Arts for Autism is a one-night annual Broadway benefit concert where the biggest names on Broadway join performing arts students from around the country onstage at the Gershwin Theatre (home to Broadway's production of Wicked). Tony Award winner, Kelli O'Hara (The King and I) hosted the show in 2016 and 2017, and last year was joined by Tony Award nominees Stephanie J. Block (Falsettos), Christopher Jackson (Hamilton), Adrienne Warren (Shuffle Along), and dozens more. Together they perform, spread awareness, and inspire compassion, kindness, and understanding for those affected by autism. This year will mark the fourth annual benefit concert with 100% of the ticket sale proceeds benefiting Autism Speaks. The show raised $36,000 in 2016, $45,000 in 2017 and $45,000 in 2018. We are looking forward to another exciting and impactful event this June!

HOW DID I GET INVOLVED WITH ARTS FOR AUTISM

In the fall of 2018, I auditioned and was chosen to be part of a group of students from Denver (through Avanti Music Academy) that will be performing in Arts for Autism in June 2019. I will be rehearsing with the group here in Denver until we join Broadway professionals in June to do our final rehearsals and the benefit concert in New York. Our group will be performing "This Is Me" from the Greatest Showman! We will also participate in the full group musical number. I am super excited to be a part of this amazing benefit concert and hope you will support me on this journey and help bring awareness to this incredible cause!
