Arthurs Bakery Employee Relief Fund

For the past 30+ years Arthurs Bakery & Cafe has been a constant in the community of Harbour island, serving fresh breads and pastries to locals and our international family.


When you think of “Briland”you think not only of the beautiful pink sand beaches and friendly people, but for many of you, you also think of the Jalapeño n cheese bread, cinnamon raisin bread, coconut bread, cinnamon buns, sticky buns and who could forget the donuts, that you’ve taken home with you because your kids threatened you not to return without those goodies.

You also think of Robert, Anna, Marc, Tino and the other owners and staff members who are there everyday to greet you with a smile, friendly conversation and great service.

Unfortunately due to Covid-19 we have had to close our doors because of this deadly virus that has taken so many lives and left many families, including our staff in great need. So we are asking for your help with donations to help the staff and island to  get through these difficult times.
Whatever you can contribute to help with our goal will be greatly appreciated. The funds will go directly to the employees and local credible  charities to help feed those in need on the island as well.

Hello, my name is lashonda Pearce. I'm the head pastry chef  at Arthur's bakery. I've worked at the bakery for 13yrs and it's been a privilege for me. Within that time I've learned a lot from my boss/mentor Mrs. Arthur. She's taught me everything I know.
Over the years the Arthurs and my co workers have become a second family to me.
As a single mother of two this job allows me to provide for the needs of my family.
We've all been affected by this pandemic and any donations received will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your kindness.

Judith Vedrine

Hi! My name is Judith Vedrine. I am an employee of Arthurs Bakery.  I'm a wife and a mother of 2 children ages 1yrs and 4yrs. Due to the Cornavirus pandemic, I have been temporarily laid off like so many other people the world over.
On the bright side, this has given me a chance to bond with my family and loved ones. I have learnt to appreciate the small things in life.
 My husband does his best to provide for us but it's a challenge. Our savings have been completed depleted yet the bills and needs of my family continue to mount.
All we can do is pray and keep the hope alive. Your donation will help employees like myself and my family survive through this storm! Thank you for your help

My name is Sandra Sainvil, I am 20 years of age. I’ve been a chef at Arthur’s Bakery for 3 years now.
My dream after graduating high school was going abroad to continue my studies but things took a turn in my life where I had to become the sole provider for my family due to my father's  on going health issues.
I never thought I would enjoy cooking and baking, but I have fell in love with it because of working at the bakery.

Working at Arthur’s Bakery has not only taught me kitchen skills but life skills. My fellow staff members and employers have became a family to me.

During this pandemic many of us have experienced severe hardships as so many others have and your voluntary donations to the GoFundMe page is a very kind gesture on your behalf which I personally and the staff of Arthur’s Bakery truly appreciate.
