Arsi Asella Community Library

Hi, We are Eden and Ephie, who are 7 and 6 years old. We go to Hannans Primary School in Kalgoorlie. Jonathan Haile (15) and Yabsira Haile (7) from Adelaide are also working with us. The picture here is of a community library in Arsi, Ethiopia. Young kids in high school mainly use the library, but they often miss out on reading and go home because there are not enough chairs, tables, and books for everyone. The library urgently needs chairs, tables, books, bookshelves and computers. It is 44 years old and needs some maintenance too. The people who run the library estimate they need AUD$30,000 for it to be appropriately operational. We are raising funds to help refurbish the library with assistance from our moms and dads.
