Armonia Education

Hi, my name Anca and I am fundraising for Armonia, an education project based in Jiu Valley, România. They are now facing the threat of losing their Community Center, because their home is being sold.

Everything started with a Christian family in Norway who wanted to help the poor area of Jiu Valley in Romania. Therefore they founded Armonia, a resource center designed especially to provide education and better living conditions to the children.

They built a Community Center, providing the proper space for education. The main program was the After School, a daily program where school children receive food and help with their homework and learning.

Through the After School Program and other educational programs, financial help, volunteering, Armonia had helped hundreds of people.

Sadly, the owners and main investors both passed away in 2020. Still the program kept going, through donations and help from good people all over Europe. But now the new owners (children of the old owners who inherited the buildings) want to sell everything. That would make the survival of the program very difficult.

After years of serving the community and working with the poor children in the area, the buildings are being sold and the price is huge, 100.000 Euros.

The volunteers working at the Resource Center managed to raise 30.000 Euros. But the clock is ticking and they need all the help and support.
