Help Ari Beat Liver Cancer
Beschermde donatie
Hi, my name is Ari Smith and I am 2 ½ years old and I was just diagnosed with Stage III Hepatoblastoma (liver cancer). I am a very happy, fun-loving guy who loves everything with a propeller and wings, trains, and I also know a lot about cars—especially Lightening McQueen and Mater. I live with my dad and mom, Mike and Heather Smith, along with Savannah, my 4-year old sister, in Beaverton, OR.
Since my diagnosis this past week, I’ve been hospitalized at OHSU Doernbecher Hospital for Children in Portland receiving aggressive chemotherapy since my tumor is too big to perform surgery right now. The doctor’s plan is to use chemotherapy to shrink the tumor enough so it can be surgically removed.
My parents have been with me through every moment of this journey, so they don’t have much time to be at work right now—it has been really hard for them to watch me take on this job of beating cancer before I even start kindergarten.
It would be a huge weight off of mom and dad’s shoulders and a great emotional support for our whole family if people could make a donation to help cover the costs of getting me out of the hospital and back home where I belong. Any financial contribution you could find it in your heart to offer would be enormously appreciated—I can’t wait to stop worrying about medical diagnoses and get back to enjoying all of the motorized things I love again!
Thank you all for your time and support; every little bit helps!
