ARHS Treat Bags (COVID and BLM Support)

UPDATE:

ARHS Treat Bags will now be taking donations to support the Black Lives Matter movement. For the forseeable future, 50% of all donations made to our organization will go towards the NAACP's Legal Defense Fund for civil rights protection and education.

In light of the COVID pandemic, we at the Algonquin High School tennis team have embarked on a project to hand-assemble care packages to be delivered directly to front-line healthcare workers in COVID units and at-risk senior citizens in nursing homes.  

Each package will contain assorted snacks, such as candy bars, clementines, chips, and pretzels, as well as notes addressed to the recipients and crossword/sudoku puzzles for fun!

So far, thanks to generous donations from the Algonquin community, we have assembled nearly 350 gift bags and raised close to $1000 in money and food for the care items, delivering them to UMass and Milford Hospitals, as well as local nursing homes in Northborough, MA. 

As we aim to reach our goal of over 1000 care packages delivered in the Greater Boston area over the next three weeks, our team is incredibly grateful for any donations to fund our packages.

Every donation goes a long way towards spreading joy among the communities most affected by this pandemic, so we are incredibly grateful for any support you are able to provide!
